HR Compensation Analyst

Position Summary: The HR Analyst will support all aspects of compensation with the goal of developing programs that foster a great place to work. The responsibilities of this role include the delivery of high quality, timely, and accurate compensation reporting and analytics, as well as other projects as assigned. Additionally, this position will provide support for the compensation system.

1. Support incentive system including researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process
flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet
2. Perform analysis, research and recommendations for development of compensation programs
3. Participate in annual salary survey process
4. Conduct analysis to evaluate market competitiveness and provide recommendations on
promotions/market adjustments
5. Participate in annual wage analysis and reporting
6. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
7. Provide administrative and analyst support of annual performance management, salary planning and
incentive programs

Working Relationships:

Position will work closely with members of the Human Resources, Finance, IT, Legal and Store Operations teams, as well as other internal departments and some external contacts. Interactions with all of these groups will be via email, phone, and in person and will require the Analyst to inform, teach, persuade, and report information.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor Degree

Preferred Education: Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field

Minimum Experience: 1-2 years in an analytical role preferable in HR, Compensation, or Finance
Demonstrated competency with HRIS systems, MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
An aptitude for learning new technologies
Analytical Skills: will work with large amounts of data. Will need to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions.
Communication Skills: Will often be called to present findings, or translate the data into an understandable document. Will need to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas.
Critical Thinking: Must look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings and translate into value-added information for the business managers.
Attention to Detail: Data is precise. Have to be vigilant in the analysis to come to correct conclusions.

Preferred Experience: 2-4 years in compensation and or financial analysis and modeling


Soft Skills: Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment
Demonstrates a strong level of initiative and accountability
Ability to think outside of the box

Physical Lifting (indicate Lbs), Climbing, Kneeling, Standing for Long Periods of Time, Etc.

Travel Include Frequency
